Oops! Apparently, in the turmoil of the hectic schedule I mentioned in the May posting, I neglected to send out the August posting. So I will now add that in with the November posting.

Both Making Waves and The Commuter sold and were replaced with The Gondoliers and Just Browsing. The Gondoliers was another of my Venice paintings and Just Browsing was from a trip to the Greek Isles.

Both of those sold

They were replaced with Fernandina Fleet from earlier paintings I did of the local shrimp boats

and  Sienna Stroll from past Italian                                                travel.

Then for the August show I brought in three paintings. One was one of my past dog portraits The Truffle Hunter. This inspiration came from a truffle hunting excursion that my younger daughter tried out as part of her exploration of activities to offer the clients of her specialized travel agency.

The other two were newly finished paintings. The first I titled Sunset before the Storm. It was based on a photograph that the same daughter took during a trip to Croatia. My interest was captured by the dark foreground against the bright sky and the ominous cloud formation.

The other new one Bringing in the Catch was based on seeing a man with baskets of fish. I imagined him coming up from a boat with the days' harvest.

During that time I also completed two more commissioned portraits of dogs. First was Moose on Guard Duty. This little guy loves to stand on a chair and look out the window. And then came Maggie from the same client. She is a tiny princess that oozes confidence. She knows she is in charge as she hangs on to her "cigar" like Winston Churchill.

Now, finally the November show:  I am bringing in a new piece Sentry Duty. It is a view of one of the magnificent Herons often seen in this area as well as in watery places in many other states.

The other two paintings are resurrections of older pieces. One is Puppies and Poppies from our last trip to Italy where we stayed on an agri-resort in Puglia That had many puppies running all over the property.  The Vineyard is also from one of our trips when we cruised the Mediterranean. I believe it was from an excursion in Italy.

Hopefully you managed to get through all of that. Now that we're up to date, I promise to try not to let it get away from me again. Till next time....
